Kissing Cousins 2005

For our latest CD, we wanted something a little different. We approached our pals in the Broken Soldiers to see if they would do a split CD with us. They agreed, and we put together a very cool live-off-the-floor full lengthed CD called Kissing Cousins. Dongo suggested a theme of inbreeders and freaks for the artwork, so if you see a family member on the CD, it's time to examine your genetic makeup. The CD was released on July 29, 2006 at the Castle Pub in Calgary.

The Birthday CD 2005

It was only after playing our set at the Underground for our one year anniversary with Ethyl in the band that we found out they had recorded our show live. We'd been talking about doing a live recording for a long time, but hadn't got around to it. So naturally, we were tickled pink. This CD has never really been released officially and most people don't have it, but a few copies have made their way out into the world. And honestly, it's my favorite of all our recordings because it captures the humor and energy of a live Johnny Incognito set, something that we've never got down properly in a studio.

Rotten Dreams 2005

Rotten Dreams was the first album we put out as a four-piece with Ethyl Alcohol on bass, and it also was the first one we did right. We recorded this at Dongo's house using Pro-Tools, infinite patience, and a false but looming deadline. In the end, we got a pretty sweet CD, although I absolutely hate the way Nihilist Groove sounds on it... I also loved the artwork for this CD. We found these four pumpkins that had been left out on a farmer's fence at Hallowe'en and had sat there for months. Ethyl took the pictures and Big Ugly Jim did the rest of the shit work to get the art for the CD.

19 Kicks To The Head Of Modern Society 2004

Our first ever appearance on a compilation! This was actually a sweet CD featuring some incredibly cool local bands like No Coast Hardcore, The Piss-Offs, The Conniving Cadavers, The Black Wednesdays, Rum Runner, Knucklehead, and The Mad Cowboys. The JI song Buy Me A Bullet was track #7.

The S.T.D. 2004

Another album from our days as a five-piece, and I'm pretty sure it was Grant who came up with the title. It stood for Self Titled Debut (or was that Demo?) and the cover was a picture of my spit in front of a grate found at the base of the Calgary Tower. We recorded this at Organic Sounds in Calgary just as a live-off-the-floor CD.

The Roughs 2003

The very first thing we ever recorded back when we were a five-piece, this was just three tracks of low quality demo buzz. I'm trying to remember now how we did this, and I *think* that this was done when we rented a little mixing board. We got crap quality because we had no idea what we were doing, but we wanted something we could hand out to clubs and at gigs and stuff.
